Inspirations

Besides our personal and professional experience as pianist, translator, editor and facilitator living in exile (Nancy) and as aviation engineer, software developer, father and creative designer (Jens), MagicWorks has been most inspired by the groundbreaking work of Matt and Gail Taylor and the community of Knowledge Workers actively carrying their traditions and inspirations into the world, The Value Web.

From them we have learned how to create a collaborative working environment, how to design an effective workshop with perfectly coordinated yet invisible processes, and, most of all, how to deploy a skilled, adaptive facilitation team to bring both environment and process to life and make the impossible possible.

The Taylors' work is based on models of how enterprises work and of how the creative process works. As we have not had the opportunity to work with them, our inspiration has been indirect.
